Epipremnum

Epipremnum got it genus name from the Greek word "epi" meaning upon and "premnon" meaning a trunk in reference to its growing on tree trunks. 
It's a member of the arum family Araceae and is native to Solomon Islands. Epipremnum has a multitude of common names such as Devli's ivy, ivy arum and Solo Islands Ivy.
